Plasma Gale

Series: Black & White Series

Release date: September 14, 2012

Cards: 70 (9 secret)

Set code: BW7

Team Plasma turned into a card designation with this expansion rather than just a subject. A Team Plasma Pokémon carries a blue glow in its artwork, a labelled bar under its HP and the group's emblem watermarked behind the text, so it can be picked out across the table; the blue card border came only with the prints released outside Japan. Plasma Energy at 067 is a plain Colorless Special Energy, and the Plasma Frigate Stadium at 066 strips the Weakness of every Pokémon carrying one, on either side of the table, while Colress Machine at 062 exists to fetch that Energy out of the deck and attach it to a Team Plasma Pokémon. Three ACE SPEC cards close the numbering, Scramble Switch, Dowsing Machine and Victory Piece. Nine more cards then run past the count, the deepest block of secrets Japan had printed in the era to that point, and it holds two full art Supporters as well as Pokémon-EX. The contents range well outside Unova, and the set opens at 001 with a Turtwig. Plasma Gale (BW7) was released on September 14, 2012 in the Black & White series, with 70 cards plus 9 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Lugia EX #74 (Super Rare), at $297.86 (median of 10 sales over 90 days, October 1, 2026).
