Dark Rush

Series: Black & White Series

Release date: December 16, 2011

Cards: 69 (7 secret)

Set code: BW4

Darkness runs through this expansion from the mechanics upward. Dark Patch, at 064, lifts a Darkness Energy out of the discard pile and attaches it to a benched Pokémon, and the Darkrai-EX at 044 is written to be fed that way. It is also the set where Japan first gave an Ultra Rare slot to an Item rather than a Pokémon, with Pokémon Catcher closing the list at 076, a year after it had first appeared as an ordinary Uncommon. Four Pokémon-EX are printed, Entei, Raikou, Darkrai and Tornadus, each of them numbered once in the run and once above it. Enhanced Hammer, Dark Claw and Rare Candy fill out the Items, with Twist Mountain as the Stadium and Hooligans Jim & Cas as the Supporter. Dark Rush (BW4) was released on December 16, 2011 in the Black & White series, with 69 cards plus 7 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Gardevoir (1st Edition) #74 (Ultra Rare), at $231.10 (median of 5 sales over 90 days, October 1, 2026).
