Dragon Blast

Series: Black & White Series

Release date: March 16, 2012

Cards: 50 (5 secret)

Set code: BW5

The Dragon type arrived in January 2012 in a small side pack of twenty cards, and this expansion is where it was put to work: Giratina-EX at 039, the whole Deino line behind it, and a recoloured Rayquaza closing the list. No Dragon Energy exists, so the last numbered card is a Blend Energy that counts as Grass, Fire, Psychic or Darkness, one type at a time. Mew-EX and Terrakion-EX take the other two upper slots, each of them numbered once and again above the count. Devolution Spray and Rescue Scarf round out the Trainers. Reuniclus fills the other Ultra Rare slot with a recoloured reprint of a card from the very first pack of the era. Dragon Blast (BW5) was released on March 16, 2012 in the Black & White series, with 50 cards plus 5 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Rayquaza #55 (Ultra Rare), at $468.37 (median of 5 sales over 90 days, October 1, 2026).
