Sword and Shield ends in Japan with this pack, ninety of its 262 cards secret, and the rarity it introduced outlived the era by years. Art Rare cards appear here for the first time, showing a Pokémon in a place rather than in a fighting pose, and a few months later the West took up the same idea under the name illustration rare. Thirty seven of them are in the set, and nine, all by Kouki Saitou, were painted as one image and then cut into nine cards. Thirty five Special Art Rares sit above those, and four gold cards close the numbering: Origin Forme Palkia, Origin Forme Dialga, Giratina and Arceus VSTAR, which AKIRA EGAWA drew as one continuous scene. Six Radiant Pokémon are scattered through the numbered part, and a deck may hold only one of them. In English the same block was renamed the Galarian Gallery and folded into Crown Zenith. VSTAR Universe (S12a) was released on December 2, 2022 in the Sword & Shield series, with 172 cards plus 90 secret rares.
