A third battle style arrives with this expansion, Fusion Strike, joining the Single Strike and Rapid Strike pair that had run since January. Fusion Strike cards are built to work with one another rather than to hit hardest alone, the style leans on Psychic Pokémon, and Mew is its face on both a V and a VMAX. Not one Fighting card carries the badge, which separates it from the two older styles at a glance. Battle VIP Pass, Cross Switcher and Power Tablet come in with it, along with a Fusion Strike Energy and the Skaters' Park Stadium. Chili, Cilan and Cress share a single Supporter card between the three of them, and Sidney, Dancer and Elesa's Sparkle complete the run. Genesect V and Hoopa V are the other Pokémon the new style was built around. Fusion Arts (S8) was released on September 24, 2021 in the Sword & Shield series, with 100 cards plus 29 secret rares.
