V Starter Decks

Series: Sword & Shield Series

Release date: July 10, 2020

Cards: 127

Set code: SD

Nine decks went on sale together, one for each Energy type, and none of them left Japan. Each is built on a single Pokémon V: Venusaur, Incineroar, Wailord, Pikachu, Mew, Lucario, Galarian Slowbro, Duraludon and Eevee. The nine share one continuous numbering, so they are catalogued as a single set rather than as nine products. Most of the contents are reprints from earlier Sword and Shield releases, with a handful of new cards in each box, the focal Pokémon V among them. Not one card in any of the decks is holofoil, the Pokémon V included. The format follows the GX Starter Decks of the Sun and Moon era, sold the same way and aimed at the same beginner. V Starter Decks (SD) was released on July 10, 2020 in the Sword & Shield series, with 127 cards. Its most expensive card is Lucario V #50, at $9.94 (median of 5 sales over 90 days, October 2, 2026).
