Mysterious Mountains

Series: E-series

Release date: October 4, 2002

Cards: 88 (3 secret)

Set code: MYM

The last booster pack of Japan's e-Card era carries the dot code border for the final time. Evolution is the design idea running through it, from a Nidoqueen whose Poké-POWER fetches an Evolution card out of the deck to a Magneton that sweeps Energy onto itself the moment you play it from hand to evolve. Three cards run past the printed 088 and end the line, Charizard, Crobat and Celebi, the last of the Neutral Pokémon, each marked with a white star where the ordinary rares carry black. Its Trainers turn to Johto: Fast Ball, Friend Ball and Lure Ball, an Apricorn Maker to search them out, plus Relic Hunter and Fisherman. Ruins are the recurring scenery, down to a Stadium named Ancient Ruins, and broken stone birds appear behind more than one illustration. Here too each of the sixteen holo rares repeats the painting of the plain rare beside it. Mysterious Mountains (MYM) was released on October 4, 2002 in the E-series, with 88 cards plus 3 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Gyarados (1st Edition) #28 (Rare Holo), at $355.25 (median of 7 sales over 90 days, June 6, 2026).
