Niantic's phone game supplies the subject of this special expansion, from the items and locations on the Trainer cards to a mixture of painted and photorealistic artwork. Blanche, Candela and Spark each get a Supporter card, one leader for each team, and Professor's Research puts Professor Willow in a slot the professors usually share. The three Kanto first partners come back as Radiant Pokémon, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. Mewtwo and Dragonite carry the VSTAR cards, and Melmetal is the only Pokémon VMAX in the list. Western buyers could not get packs by the box and found them only in tins and collections, the first of those out on 1 July 2022, while shops across Asia sold them normally. Those Asian packs held six cards where the western ones held ten. Pokémon GO (SWSH10.5) was released on July 1, 2022 in the Sword & Shield series, with 78 cards plus 10 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Mewtwo VSTAR #079 (Secret Rare), at $42.92 (median of 10 sales over 30 days, October 1, 2026).
