17 cards
Eight Pokémon cards have come from museum collaborations as of September 25, 2026: five Scream cards for the 2018 Munch exhibition in Tokyo, the Van Gogh Museum's Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat (2023), the Natural History Museum's jumbo Pikachu at the Museum (London, 2026), and a stamped Archeops that ticket holders of the Pokémon Fossil Museum at Chicago's Field Museum receive until April 11, 2027, while supplies last. The Chicago card is the only one a museum still hands out. In real completed sales as of that date, the most valuable is the Munch Mimikyu at $19,813 in PSA 10 (7 sales); the cheapest priced raw is the Munch Rowlet at $633 (6 sales).
Ten more cards come from an artist, not a museum: the line drawings of Yu Nagaba (2021 and 2023), given with purchases, mostly at Pokémon Centers in Japan. They are listed at the end.

Chicago: the Archeops you can still get
The Pokémon Fossil Museum runs at the Field Museum in Chicago from May 22, 2026 to April 11, 2027. Visitors need a Field Museum general admission ticket and a Pokémon Fossil Museum add-on ticket; at the exhibition entrance, each valid exhibition ticket is redeemed for one promo card, while supplies last, and the museum says it will keep restocking until April 11, 2027. Collection Quest tickets do not include the card; Family Night tickets do, on the night of the event.
The card is Archeops 051/086 from White Flare, illustrated by Haru Akasaka, with a stamp of Excavator Pikachu, the exhibition's winking Pikachu in an explorer's hat, at the bottom right of the art. The regular White Flare print has no stamp. The exhibition had toured 15 museums in Japan first, until April 5, 2026, with goods but no promo card; Chicago is its first stop outside Japan.
Tokyo, 2018: the five Scream cards
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum showed Munch: A Retrospective from October 27, 2018 to January 20, 2019, about 100 works lent mainly by the Munch Museum in Oslo, a version of The Scream among them. The cards were Japanese, and only one was handed out at the museum: the Pikachu, given to visitors during Pokémon Week, December 10 to 16, 2018. The Mimikyu came inside a mini card file sold at the exhibition shop and online, and Psyduck, Eevee and Rowlet went to buyers of booster packs at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores. The one-week Pikachu and the file-only Mimikyu are the most valuable today.
Each card has its own illustrator: Tomokazu Komiya (Psyduck), Atsuko Nishida (Eevee), You Iribi (Pikachu), Hasuno (Mimikyu) and Hideki Ishikawa (Rowlet). All share one attack, さけび (Scream), which leaves both Active Pokémon Confused, and 60 HP, except Mimikyu at 70. In the background, each card shows the previous one's Pokémon as a silhouette on Munch's bridge: a Psyduck behind Eevee, an Eevee behind Pikachu, a Pikachu behind Mimikyu, a Mimikyu behind Rowlet. The Psyduck card has two purple ghosts there instead.
Amsterdam, 2023: Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat
For its 50th anniversary, the Van Gogh Museum showed six Pokémon paintings after works in its collection, by Naoyo Kimura, sowsow and Tomokazu Komiya, from September 28, 2023 to January 7, 2024. One became a card: Naoyo Kimura's Pikachu after Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat (1887), SVP 085, whose attack Pika-Portrait searches the deck for a Pikachu.
At the museum, the card went to visitors who handed in a completed Pokémon Adventure leaflet, an activity for ages six and up, not to shoppers. Crowds and resellers followed, and the museum stopped handing out the card after October 13, 2023, citing safety; it will not hand out more. The card also came with any Pokémon Center × Van Gogh Museum item at the US and Canadian Pokémon Center online stores from September 28, 2023, then, from October 17, 2023, with US orders of $30 or more of Pokémon TCG products, one per order, and at Dutch shops from February 10, 2024, for €29.99 of Pokémon TCG products, one per person and purchase, while stocks lasted.
London, 2026: Pikachu at the Museum
The Natural History Museum's collaboration, which the museum called Pokémon's first with a UK museum, was a pop-up shop in its Cranbourne Boutique from January 26 to April 19, 2026, with free timed tickets that were all booked. Purchases there came with an oversize card, Pikachu at the Museum, also given with purchases at select UK retailers from January 30, 2026, but not at Pokémon Center. It is an unnumbered MEP Black Star promo printed only in jumbo size, so it cannot be played in tournaments. Naoyo Kimura, the Van Gogh Pikachu's illustrator, drew Pikachu in a museum hall beside the skeletons of an Aerodactyl and a Tyrantrum.
The Yu Nagaba cards: an art collaboration
Yu Nagaba's cards are black line drawings on a white background, with the lockup "Yu NAGABA × POKÉMON CARD GAME" printed inside the art. The Pikachu 208/S-P came from July 22, 2021 with any purchase of 1,500 yen or more at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores and Pokémon Center Online in Japan, with Nagaba goods from the PUBLIC TOKYO online store, and for every winner of the Special Box lottery at Pokémon Center Online. The nine cards of Eevee and its evolutions, 062 to 070/SV-P, came from May 24, 2023 at the same stores, one at random for every 1,000 yen spent on a bill with card products, up to ten at a time, and four with each Eevees Special Box won in a lottery.
| Card | Number | Raw | PSA 10 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pikachu | 208/S-P | $147 (6 sales) | $292 (5 sales) |
| Eevee | 062/SV-P | $106 (5 sales) | $217 (14 sales) |
| Vaporeon | 063/SV-P | $84.40 (10 sales) | $173 (13 sales) |

None of the museum cards prints the museum's name. The Munch cards are identified by their Scream art, the PROMO mark and their number (286 to 290/SM-P); the Van Gogh card by its name and SVP 085; the London jumbo by its name, Pikachu at the Museum; the Chicago Archeops by its Excavator Pikachu stamp, the only exhibition mark on any of them. The Nagaba cards are the only ones that print the collaboration's name. Fan-made copies of the Scream cards are sold online: our guide to spotting fake Pokémon cards covers the checks.
