Uniqlo has given out 14 Pokémon cards, all in Japan and all with a purchase from its kids' range, in four campaigns: Chimchar 118/DP-P (July 2008), six cards 018 to 023/BW-P with its Pokémon Card Game T-shirts (March 2011), four Warm Pikachu 094 to 097/XY-P with HEATTECH tops (December 2014), and Charizard-EX, Lucario and Rayquaza 213 to 215/XY-P with T-shirts (February 2016).

Nine were also printed in English. The four Warm Pikachu and the 2011 Pokédex were not, and the Warm Pikachu are the valuable ones: $200 to $1,290 ungraded and about $5,000 to $5,700 in PSA 10, as of September 24, 2026.

Medians of real completed sales of the Japanese cards, as of September 24, 2026. "est." marks a median that rests on one or two sales. The English prints came in blisters, tins and POP Series packs, with no Uniqlo connection and no Uniqlo logo; BW and XY numbers are Black Star promos.

2008: Chimchar, for any kids' item

From July 19, 2008, anyone who bought an item from the kids' range at a Uniqlo in Japan (in stores that carried it) received a Chimchar 118/DP-P. No Pokémon product and no minimum spend were required, and the card carries no Uniqlo mark.

Uniqlo was one channel of the Collection Challenge, a summer 2008 campaign of 13 cards, numbered between 109 and 122/DP-P. The others came from film screenings and the film's brochure, a magazine, card events and Trade Please exchanges, a game purchase, a quiz rally, a booster campaign, and railway stamp rallies.

Chimchar 118/DP-P, July 2008: given with any item from the kids' range, with no Pokémon shirt required.

2011: each T-shirt with its card

On March 14, 2011, Uniqlo launched Pokémon Card Game T-shirts in Japan: six designs in seven versions, all at ¥990 including tax, in stores with a kids' range and online. Each shirt came with a card made for it, and five of the six pairs are signed by the same illustrator.

The sixth shirt, kawayoo's three legendary Pokémon, came in black and in gray, which makes the seven versions, and its card is an Item, the Pokédex, drawn by a studio. The illustrators were picked for their different styles: Shizurow's is the only 3D image of the set, and Shin Nagasawa's comic-book Tepig line was given a worn, vintage print on the shirt.

The six 2011 cards. Five are signed by the illustrator of the T-shirt they came with; none carries a Uniqlo logo.

2014: four Warm Pikachu with HEATTECH

From early December 2014, each of Uniqlo's six kids' Pokémon HEATTECH long-sleeved crew necks (¥990 before tax, sizes 100 to 150, 160 online only) came with one of four Warm Pikachu (あったかピカチュウ) cards, at random, while the cards lasted.

All four have the same game text: 70 HP, あったまる, which heals 20 damage and every Special Condition (a fitting attack for a thermal fabric), and でんきショック for 20. Only the art changes. Akira Komayama's 094 plays in a snowy playground in an orange sweater and a checked scarf, Hitoshi Ariga's 095 bounds past a snowman in a blue coat, match's 096 wears a quilted blue coat under night illuminations, and kirisAki's 097 sits indoors in a pink dress by a snowy window. A full set took at least four tops.

2016: Charizard-EX, Lucario and Rayquaza

From late February 2016, to mark the February 27 release of the BREAK Starter Pack, a 20th anniversary product, Uniqlo sold Pokémon Card Game T-shirts again: eight designs, ¥990, sizes 110 to 150. Every shirt came with one of three cards at random, while they lasted: Charizard-EX (180 HP, Eske Yoshinob), Lucario (Naoki Saito) and Rayquaza (Masakazu Fukuda). The Charizard-EX reuses the full-bleed illustration of the English promo XY29, first packed in tins in October 2014 (not the Flashfire 11/106 art), with the Uniqlo logo added.

The logo dates a Uniqlo card

The 2014 and 2016 cards carry Uniqlo's red square logo at the bottom left, beside the retreat cost: in katakana (ユニ over クロ) on the Warm Pikachu, in Latin letters (UNI over QLO) on the 2016 cards. The 2008 Chimchar and the 2011 cards carry no logo. Uniqlo has used both versions of its logo side by side since 2006, so the script dates these two campaigns, not a change of brand.

Finding them today

All 14 trade as singles. The 2011 cards are the ones to check with care: their English BW prints share the art, so the Japanese text and the number (018 to 023/BW-P) are what identify a Uniqlo card. For a Warm Pikachu, check the katakana logo and the number 094 to 097/XY-P before paying.

Collections that came with no card

Uniqlo's other Pokémon collections gave no card. The UTGP 2019 design contest, on a Pokémon theme, put its winning shirts on sale in June 2019; for the Pokémon TCG UT collection of August 11, 2025, drawn from card game art, stores handed out a special issue of the UT magazine that doubles as a paper playmat; and the 30th anniversary collections of 2026 announced no card, as of September 24, 2026.
