Remote islands far from Holon set the scene on the publisher's own product page, and the crystals growing there give the expansion both its title and a run of Trainers: Crystal Shard, Mysterious Shard, Cessation Crystal and Crystal Beach. All six starter lines from Kanto and Hoenn appear, and the Kanto finals part company, with Venusaur left as a Grass card while Charizard and Blastoise are reprinted as Delta Species. Celebi and Alakazam are the two Pokémon ☆, each sitting inside its own type block. Eight Pokémon-ex share the rest of the foil slots, Sceptile ex, Jirachi ex and Delcatty ex among them. Pokémon Centers sold the packs a week ahead of the general release. Miracle Crystal (MIC) was released on March 3, 2006 in the PCG series, with 75 cards.
