Holon Research Tower

Series: PCG

Release date: October 24, 2005

Cards: 86

Set code: HRT

δ Delta Species starts here, on Pokémon whose printed type does not match their species, explained in the set's own fiction by radiation leaking from the research tower that gives it its name. The Greek letter marks the fourth classification the game's scientists had catalogued, after ordinary Pokémon, Pokémon-ex and Pokémon ☆. Not one Pokémon-ex appears in the Japanese booster: the three the set had were Eeveelutions sold a month earlier in three half decks, and they only reached packs in the English EX Delta Species. Eleven cards at the end of the list carry the Holon name, five of them Supporters, and four Holon's Pokémon further up can be played as Special Energy instead of as Pokémon. Yuka Morii's Ditto turns up seven times, once in every type block except Darkness and Metal. Kyogre, Groudon and Metagross are the Pokémon ☆, and Pokémon Centers had the packs four days before the general release. Holon Research Tower (HRT) was released on October 24, 2005 in the PCG series, with 86 cards. Its most expensive card is Rayquaza #43 (Rare Holo).
