About this card
Yuka Morii works in clay, so this Azumarill was sculpted and photographed rather than drawn, and the model keeps the soft matte surface of the material against a night blue field of bubbles. The evolution box and the Pokedex band are printed in white and gold instead of the gold used across the rest of the set, which is how a Light Pokémon is marked. Bubble Jump suits that gentler brief, handing two Energy to a benched Pokémon before pulling Azumarill back to your hand. The small stamp beside the art window puts this copy in the final English 1st Edition run, a practice Wizards of the Coast had kept up since Base Set.
