Aquapolis

Series: E-Card

Release date: January 15, 2003

Cards: 147 (39 secret)

Set code: ECARD2

Crystal Pokémon make their first appearance here, on cards whose Poké-BODY retypes them to match any of three basic Energy types named on the card when one is attached from hand, and only until that turn ends. The English release folds two Japanese expansions of 2002 into one, The Town on No Map and Wind from the Sea, which is how it reached 186 cards and became the largest English set printed to that point. Holo cards were also lifted out of the main run into a subset of their own, numbered H1 to H32, a layout Skyridge would reuse four months later. The three Crystal cards sit past the printed denominator at 148, 149 and 150 of 147, and the Nidoking among them went out with its Poké-BODY naming Fire where the Japanese original says Fighting. Every booster box held one oversized topper, and all four came from the new H run: Entei, Espeon, Scizor and Suicune. Four cards exist in two versions each, Golduck, Drowzee, Mr. Mime and Porygon, identical on the face but carrying different e-Reader dot codes, which is why the checklist runs 50a and 50b rather than a single 50. Aquapolis (ECARD2) was released on January 15, 2003 in the E-Card series, with 147 cards plus 39 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Lugia #149 (Rare Holo), at $3,616.39 (median of 5 sales over 7 days, October 1, 2026).
