Generations Starter Decks

Series: Scarlet & Violet Series

Release date: November 22, 2024

Cards: 175

Set code: SVM

Nine decks went out together, one for each region the main games have used as a setting, ending at Paldea. Each holds exactly two Pokémon ex, and that pair names the product, Pikachu with Snorlax for Kanto, Reshiram with Amoonguss for Unova, Koraidon with Paldean Clodsire for Paldea. The Trainer slots are where the collecting happens rather than the Pokémon. Professor's Research appears twice in every deck, and the professor changes from box to box, so the nine of them run from Oak through to the Paldean researcher. Black Belt's Training does something stranger, since GOSSAN drew it nine times, once per generation, showing the trainer class as it was designed in that era. A Special Battle Set released beside them bundled four of the nine decks with holofoil promo cards and the pieces needed for a first game. Generations Starter Decks (SVM) was released on November 22, 2024 in the Scarlet & Violet series, with 175 cards. Its most expensive card is Blaziken ex #16, at $7.37 (median of 3 sales over 90 days, October 2, 2026).
