About this card
Fresh art was commissioned for the English print, and the job went to Christopher Rush, who came to Pokémon from Magic: The Gathering. He put Mewtwo outdoors in a stand of tall trees, pale psychic ribbons trailing from both hands. Nintendo Power carried the card as an insert in April 2000, and the painting then travelled the other way, given to passengers who finished the silver course of the JR East stamp rally in Japan.
