About this card
The weakness box is left empty and Fighting sits in the resistance slot instead, which the flavour line explains outright: by learning to fly, Pikachu overcame its weakness to Fighting Pokémon. Aoki keeps the staging plain, a harness of coloured balloons lifting Pikachu across a flat blue sky past two clouds. Wizards handed it out at League in August 2001, the same month as two other Pikachu promos in this series.
