Shining Legends

Series: Sun & Moon Series

Release date: July 15, 2017

Cards: 72 (10 secret)

Set code: SM3+

Sale began on the day the twentieth Pokémon film opened in Japan, a Saturday rather than the Friday the publisher normally used. Shining Pokémon came back with it, a card type last printed in the Neo era, and Japan gave them a rarity mark of their own, a foil eight-pointed star in blue and yellow. The old restrictions were dropped on the way: these versions have ordinary Energy costs and no one-per-deck limit. Every Shining Pokémon in the run is a Legendary or a Mythical, drawn from the ones the films had put on screen by then. Four Pokémon-GX close the pack, Entei, Raichu, Mewtwo and Zoroark, each with a Full Art and a rainbow, with Pokémon Breeder the one Supporter given a Full Art. Packs held six cards including one holo, a card more than the ordinary boosters of that year. Shining Legends (SM3+) was released on July 15, 2017 in the Sun & Moon series, with 72 cards plus 10 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Mewtwo GX #82 (Rare Shining), at $1,180.46 (median of 11 sales over 90 days, October 1, 2026).
