Darkness that Consumes Light

Series: Sun & Moon Series

Release date: June 16, 2017

Cards: 51 (13 secret)

Set code: SM3N

Necrozma is what the title is about, since the games have it feeding on light, and this is the pack that gave the Pokémon a GX card. PLANETA drew that one, and Golisopod, Marshadow and Gardevoir fill the other three GX slots, Marshadow being the only Fighting type among them. Guzma appears here for the first time, on a Supporter that drags a Benched Pokémon into the Active spot, and English organised play then handed the card out as a Regional Championships prize across two seasons. Wicke, who runs the Aether Foundation staff, takes the second Supporter Full Art. For a booster whose title puts darkness first, it holds almost no Darkness Pokémon: an Alolan Rattata, its evolution, and nothing else. Super Scoop Up and Rescue Stretcher are gilded at the end, and the ordinary run closes on Po Town. Darkness that Consumes Light (SM3N) was released on June 16, 2017 in the Sun & Moon series, with 51 cards plus 13 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Gardevoir GX #61 (Hyper Rare), at $142.35 (median of 5 sales over 90 days, October 1, 2026).
