About this card
Sugimori sends a jagged white flash down the middle of a sunlit blue water column, with Magikarp thrashing to the right of it. The picture is the one collectors know as the University Magikarp: it first went to students of Shogakukan's Celadon University campaign who passed the Hyper Professor Test printed in the December 1998 issues of its six Elementary School magazines. Pokémon Web reprinted it three years later in the e-Card layout, in ten card packs sold by mail order from the Pokémon Center Online and nowhere else.
