Series: Platinum

Gym Leaders and the Elite Four get Pokémon of their own in this expansion, marked GL and 4 after the name, following the G that Team Galactic's Pokémon had carried in the expansion before. Rotom fills five consecutive slots in its Heat, Frost, Wash, Fan and Mow formes. Three Pikachu close the numbering, an ordinary one and the Surfing and Flying versions, all three brought back from cards of the 1990s. Volkner's Philosophy, Charon's Choice and Underground Expedition head the Supporter block, and Sunyshore City Gym and the Pokémon Contest Hall are the two Stadiums. SP Energy sits among the four Energy cards that close the numbering before the Pikachu, giving one Colorless to any Pokémon and any type at all to a Pokémon SP. It went on sale the day after Christmas, the same day as the Infernape and Gallade deck kit built on the same pool. Bonds to the End of Time (Pt2) was released on December 26, 2008 in the Platinum series, with 90 cards. Its most expensive card is Pikachu #88, at $156.03 (median of 8 sales over 90 days, October 4, 2026).
