Advent of Arceus

Series: Platinum

Release date: July 8, 2009

Cards: 90

Set code: Pt4

Arceus reached a card for the first time in this expansion, and six of the ninety are Arceus: one each in Water, Fighting, Darkness, Metal and Colorless, plus the Level-Up card. The publisher gave those six a foil treatment used on no other card in the pack, and warned buyers that a booster might hold none of them. Two decks headed by the Arceus LV.X went on sale the same day, one pairing Grass with Fire and the other Lightning with Psychic. Helix Fossil, Dome Fossil and Old Amber are printed together here, where the fourth block had split them between its two packs. Tangrowth, Gengar and Salamence take the other three Level-Up slots, and Ultimate Zone closes the numbering as the Stadium. It was the last main expansion of the Platinum era, and the HeartGold and SoulSilver block followed three months later. Advent of Arceus (Pt4) was released on July 8, 2009 in the Platinum series, with 90 cards. Its most expensive card is Ponyta #19 (Common).
