About this card
The whole illustration is cut glass, the Charizard and the air around it faceted from the same crystal, so the dragon separates from its background by silhouette alone. Under the shards the body is black instead of orange, the shiny colouring, with crimson membranes stretched across the wings. AKIRA EGAWA had already signed the Special Illustration Rare of this same Charizard ex in Obsidian Flames, a pale and prismatic version of the same idea, and here it goes dark. Paldean Fates carries the ordinary print as well, at 054/091 and credited to 5ban Graphics, while this one lands at 234/091, outside the numbered list.
