About this card
Haymaker was one of the earliest deck archetypes the game produced, and this card is the reason it worked. Jab cost a single Fighting Energy and hit for 20 on the first turn, and Fighting caught the weakness of most Lightning and many Colorless Pokémon of the period. Ken Sugimori holds it in a boxer's guard, gloves at the chin and the lead glove pushed toward the viewer. The deck paired it with Base Set Electabuzz and Jungle's Scyther.
