About this card
Ryo Ueda sets Charizard in profile against a wall of red, wings spread past the edges of the frame and the whole card given over to the illustration. The number runs one past the printed total of 080, because a Japanese Super Rare of this era always falls after the last numbered card, while the same art is numbered inside the set in the West. Stoke pulls up to three basic Energy out of the deck on heads, and Fire Blast pays one of them back for its damage. Four Pokémon-EX Super Rares open the secret block here, 081 to 084, and Ueda signed all of them.
