About this card
Gengar's silhouette is traced in gold over a mosaic of flat colour blocks and scattered jewel shapes, so the Pokémon reads as a dark cut-out rather than a solid body. The publisher built the set around it and announced Phantom Gate as an expansion of Psychic Pokémon led by Gengar-EX. Neither attack goes through the defender: one drops damage counters on any Pokémon in play, the other poisons the Active and pulls a benched Pokémon into its place. The card still trades high.
