About this card

San Francisco hosted the 2016 World Championships, and Naoki Saito put the city into the card that every entrant in the main tournament took home. A red cable car pulls in on the right and the round Fisherman's Wharf sign hangs at the left, while Pikachu rides on Bulbasaur's back with Charmander and Squirtle keeping pace and a Lugia crossing the sky. It is a Stadium rather than a plain Trainer, healing 10 damage from each of a player's Pokémon once per turn, and only while that player has six in play. Physical copies carry a gold WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016 logo at the foot of the artwork, which the scan shown here leaves out.
