A Black & White side release given over entirely to the Dragon type, which had reached the game only months earlier, Dragon Vault appeared on October 5, 2012, during the Year of the Dragon. All 21 of its cards are holofoil, and the packs, five cards apiece, were sold inside blister products rather than booster boxes. Dragon Pokémon fill all but three of the twenty numbered slots, Dratini and Bagon at the foot of the list and Latias, Latios, Haxorus and Rayquaza at the head of it, while First Ticket, the Trainer at number 19, hands its player the first turn with no coin flip at all.
