The Scarlet & Violet series ends on a rivalry, and the rivalry is a card class: more than eighty five Pokémon in the printed list of 182 carry a Trainer's name, over forty five of them belonging to Team Rocket, Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex included. Misty, Cynthia, Steven, Ethan, Marnie and Arven stand opposite, and seventeen Pokémon ex appear, ten of them answering to a name. Japan had put out the same cards under the title Glory of the Rocket Gang. Two Rival Battle Decks, one Marnie and one Steven, reached players two weeks ahead of the 30 May 2025 release, whose four booster wrappers Atsushi Furusawa painted.
