Diamond & Pearl

Series: Diamond & Pearl

Release date: May 23, 2007

Cards: 130

Set code: DP1

Japan split this release in two, Diamond Collection and Pearl Collection, while the English printing put both halves into one expansion and opened the Diamond & Pearl Series with it. Sinnoh reaches the expansions here, Dialga and Palkia included, two Japanese promos having already put Generation IV on cards in 2005 and 2006, and so does the Pokémon LV.X, a card laid on top of your Active Pokémon of the same name, evolved or not, that keeps everything the lower level could do and adds to it. Supporters and Stadiums stopped being subclasses of Trainer and became card types in their own right. Poison Pokémon moved out of the Grass type and into Psychic, while Darkness and Metal at last received basic Energy cards, free of the four per deck limit that binds special Energy. The frame was rebuilt once more: the level came back beside the name, the Pokédex entry returned below the attack box, and a second numbering marked DPBP appeared in the bottom left corner. The booster went from nine cards to ten, and the English set reached shops in May 2007, close to six months after Japan. Diamond & Pearl (DP1) was released on May 23, 2007 in the Diamond & Pearl series, with 130 cards. Its most expensive card is Torterra LV.X #122 (Rare Holo LV.X), at $114.30 (median of 5 sales over 7 days, October 1, 2026).
