Cosmic Eclipse

Series: Sun & Moon

Release date: November 1, 2019

Cards: 236 (35 secret)

Set code: SM12

Twelve expansions in, the Sun and Moon series closes with its biggest release, and no English expansion held more cards until Fusion Strike two years later. TAG TEAM Supporter cards turn up for the first time and, one promo aside, the only time: six of them pair two characters on a single card, with a bonus you buy by discarding from hand. Two of its TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX put three Pokémon on one card, Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX and Togepi & Cleffa & Igglybuff-GX. The first of those raises the damage of every attack on your side for the rest of the game, which is how the card and the deck built on it both came to be known as ADP. The secret block opens with twelve cards showing an ordinary Pokémon next to the Trainer known for it, a Japanese Character Rare class the English printing had no name for. Alter Genesis had opened the same expansion in Japan two months earlier. Cosmic Eclipse (SM12) was released on November 1, 2019 in the Sun & Moon series, with 236 cards plus 35 secret rares. Its most expensive card is Arceus & Dialga & Palkia GX #221 (Ultra Rare), at $580.50 (median of 5 sales over 7 days, September 30, 2026). A sealed booster box sells for $4,192.19 (median of 6 sales over 30 days, September 9, 2026).
