Pikachu

About this card

The 2010 World Collection put one Pikachu into nine languages and gave each version to a different illustrator, so no two cards in the folder carry the same painting. Kanako Eo drew the Polish one, laying a dozing Pikachu across a flowerbed that is white above and red below, the colours of the national flag in its own order. Eo is a Game Freak graphic designer who has worked on the main series games since the early 2000s. The nine went on sale together in Japan in July 2010 and reached the rest of the world that November, so a Polish card first shipped inside a Japanese box.
