Zapdos (Tropical Mega Battle,Regional Kamex Mega Battle,Challenge Road 1998,1999)

About this card

This is a telephone card, not a playing card, and the extra length shows at the foot as a gold band reading Pocket Monsters Card Game above a 1995 and 1996 copyright. Players at the Tropical Mega Battle in Honolulu filled a passport with games played against other people, then drew one of the three legendary birds blind out of a sealed envelope. The painting is Ken Sugimori's, the one the Game Boy Pokémon Trading Card Game uses for its Legendary Zapdos, while the rest of the card copies the Fossil printing down to its set symbol.
