About this card
Seats at the first official tournament were drawn by lot, a thousand children under fifteen playing over two days at Makuhari Messe in June 1997, inside the Next Generation World Hobby Fair. Second place gets a silver cup, and the block Pikachu stands on is white where the champion's is yellow. Every entrant left the hall with a gold Chansey coin; the runner up of each session left with this.
