About this card
Six regional cups ran between November 1997 and February 1998, each named after a town from the video games. Winning an age division took five straight knockout matches, six at the later cups. The certificate closes by granting a place at the national final, which filled Makuhari Messe in April 1998 with the largest crowd a Pokémon card event had drawn. Its foil is gold, where the other two No.1 printings run olive green and near-black.
