Moltres (Tropical Mega Battle,Regional Kamex Mega Battle,Challenge Road 1998,1999)

About this card

Wildfire's Japanese name is yamayaki, the festival in which withered grass is burned off a mountainside, and the attack does the same to the opponent's deck, discarding a card from the top for every Fire Energy thrown away. Ken Sugimori's Moltres, wings out and trailing fire across open blue, came back later as the artwork for Rocket's Moltres in Gym Heroes. Its other attack is spelled Gotto Bird on this card, one voicing mark short of Goddo Bird, which is how the Japanese name of Sky Attack is written.
