Flying Pikachu (“Everyone's Happy Campaign” 1999)

About this card

Two Flying Pikachu came out of the ANA campaigns a year apart, and this is the later one: level eleven rather than twelve, with a first attack called Thunder Jolt that hits for twenty and can bounce ten back onto Pikachu. Aoki repainted the scene as well, tying a bunch of balloons to each wrist, sliding the airliner down to the left and ruling the sky into flat blue bands. It came in June and July 1999 alongside an Articuno, where the 1998 pairing had put Pikachu with a Dragonite.
