Corrected Illustrator Pikachu (CoroCoro 1998)

About this card

Set this beside the 1996 original and the pictures match line for line; the only change is one name at the bottom, where Keiji Kinebuchi has replaced a Ken Sugimori credit that never belonged there. That single correction is the whole reason the card has its own entry, and it arrived two years late, on copies Shogakukan posted to readers who had won a coupon draw. Two thousand of them received four cards mounted on two plain sheets. Growl and Thunder Shock, the attacks printed here, are the pair Pikachu knows at level one in Red and Green.
