Champion's League (Champion's League 2005)

About this card

Champion's League can only be used by Champion's Leaguers, says the rule line, so only the people it was handed to may play it. The line under it is the catch: while the Stadium stays out, a Champion's Leaguer battles with their hand turned face up for the opponent to read. Takumi Akabane put no Pokémon in the picture, painting a stone arena wall with a Poké Ball crest and a row of energy symbols above an empty polished floor. The tournament had been Japan's national final since 2000 and had never given its winners a card before this one, awarded in Tokyo in September 2005.
