Boy SSB No.3 Trainer (World Challenge Summer 2000)

About this card

Count the Pokémon and you have the rank. A Growlithe and a Pikachu flank the trainer here and the medal in his hand is bronze; second place adds Clefairy and Doduo, and first place adds Voltorb and Marill on top of those. Third place was the only rank awarded twice at each conference, to two players at once, so these left every venue in pairs. The same trick of counting Pokémon to signal a placing came back years later on the Victory Cup promos.
