Winning one of these took two different kinds of play. Each regional conference opened with a qualifying league in which every entrant used the same preconstructed deck, handed out on the day, which levelled the field and spared the staff from checking lists. Whoever came through it played the closing rounds with a deck of their own, inspected before use. Second place in that final earned this card, in the Secret Super Battle bracket, the older of the two brackets the summer was split into.
