About this card
The certificate under the picture recognises the holder as champion of the World Challenge Secret Super Battle, praises the honour, and stops there. The 1997 trophy had told its bearer that presenting the card would earn preferential entry to the next official tournament, and by 2000 that clause is gone. Ken Sugimori draws a boy in a backwards cap holding out a gold medal with a Poké Ball embossed on it, and sets Voltorb and Marill floating in the upper corners above him. The band that should carry a winner's name and regional conference is empty on this copy.
