Blastoise (Pikachu Records CD 1998)

About this card

Of the three cards in that trade campaign, this is the only one where Sugimori was redrawing his own work rather than replacing Mitsuhiro Arita. He turns Blastoise side on and low to the ground, cannons run out over the shell, against a cosmos foil that reads almost black. The number at the foot is 009, which is the Pokédex number and not a place in any list.
