About this card
Sold as a beginner's kit rather than an expansion, the Intro Pack came with two half decks, a playmat, a coin, damage counters and a video cassette that taught the rules. Its Squirtle Deck held this Blastoise, and that deck's own set symbol, a small black Squirtle, sits beside the species line. Every card in the two decks was given a number inside a circle except the two holo cards, which is why this one carries no card number at all. The painting is not the Base Set one: it is Sugimori's other Blastoise, first sent to players who mailed in for the Trade Please campaign of 1998.
