About this card

Gold replaces grey on the X across the face and the plating comes out white, which is the alternate colouring rather than the blue steel Metagross normally wears. Fukuda sets it against a red nebula scattered with blue and violet points of light, a very different sky from the deep blue starfield he used for the Groudon in the same expansion. This card closes the Metal section of the Japanese list, where the English release instead moved all three of its stars to the very end of the set.
