About this card
Japan met this Sceptile in a McDonald's campaign in February 2006; English players had to open a two card POP pack to find it. It reprints the EX Ruby & Sapphire card, but the artwork was thrown out and redone, Ken Sugimori's version replaced by Atsuko Nishida's. She takes it side on with the head dipped low, the seed pods on its back catching the light and the rest of the frame dissolved into green. Energy Trans has only ever been printed on two species, Venusaur and Sceptile, and it shifts Grass Energy around the board here just as it did on the Base Set card.
