Pokémon Delta Reign
Updated August 26, 2026
- Series: Mega Evolution
- Release date: November 6, 2026
- Cards: 103 main set (over 135 with secret rares)
- Headliner: Mega Rayquaza ex
Delta Reign is the sixth English set of the Mega Evolution era, out November 6, 2026, with prereleases from October 24 to November 1. Mega Rayquaza ex headlines it, its first all-new Mega card since the XY era if you set aside the 2021 Celebrations reprint of M Rayquaza-EX.
The main set holds 103 cards and runs past 135 with secret rares: four new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex (Rayquaza, Golurk, Malamar and Golisopod), six Pokémon ex, more than a dozen Trainers, 14 illustration rares, 17 ultra rares and six special illustration rares.
Its headline mechanic is the split Stadium. Three of them carry Legendary in their name, and each is printed as two halves whose artwork continues from one to the other. You need two different halves in hand to put a single Stadium into play, and because both halves share one name the four-copy rule caps a deck at two complete Stadiums. The idea goes back to the LEGEND cards of HeartGold & SoulSilver.
This is the first English set since Phantasmal Flames built from more than one Japanese source: it merges Storm Emeralda with 30 cards taken from the three MEGA Starter Decks. One consequence follows. Those decks supply seven candidate Pokémon ex for six slots, so one of Heat Rotom, Wishiwashi, Raikou, Talonflame, Eevee, Meowscarada and Zoroark will not make it in.
The Elite Trainer Box promo is a Kyogre lifted out of Storm Emeralda, where it printed as an art rare. It leaves the numbered set entirely and becomes MEP 117, so a complete 103 does not need it while a master set does.
Localised names are confirmed: Règne Delta in French, Delta-Herrschaft in German, Dominio Delta in Italian and Spanish.

Frequently asked questions
When does Pokémon TCG Delta Reign release?
Delta Reign releases on November 6, 2026, and prerelease events run from October 24 to November 1. No preorder date has been announced. PokéBeach expects preorders to open on PokemonCenter.com in September, roughly a month before release, but that is an estimate drawn from the timing of the previous two sets rather than anything The Pokémon Company has said.
How many cards are in the Delta Reign set?
The main set holds 103 cards, which is the number printed on every card, and the announced total runs past 135 once secret rares are counted. Inside that: four new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, six Pokémon ex, more than a dozen Trainer cards including three new Legendary Stadiums, 14 illustration rare Pokémon, 17 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainers, and six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporters. One caveat on the total: the 135 figure comes from the reveal, while the solicitation sheet sent to American distributors says over 140 cards and more than 35 with special illustrations. Both trace back to official marketing copy, they disagree, and nothing published so far settles which one the printed set will match. The only number we can vouch for is the 103 on the cards themselves.
What is in the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box?
Nine booster packs, one full-art foil Kyogre promo, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player's guide, six damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector's box with six dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. The Pokémon Center version is a different product rather than the same box in another wrapper: it holds eleven packs instead of nine, and two Kyogre promos instead of one, because it adds a copy stamped with the Pokémon Center logo next to the unstamped one. Both figures are printed on the back of each box. The Build & Battle Box is a separate item again: a 40-card ready-to-play deck carrying 1 of 4 foil promos, four booster packs and a code card.
What is a split Stadium in Delta Reign?
A Stadium printed across two cards. Three of them carry Legendary in their name, and the artwork continues from the left half to the right half, so the pair reads as one wide picture. Neither half does anything alone: you must combine two different halves from your hand to put one Stadium into play. Both halves share the same card name, so the usual limit of four copies per deck applies to the pair, which caps you at two complete Stadiums. Four copies of the same half is legal deckbuilding and unplayable on the table. The mechanic echoes the LEGEND cards of HeartGold & SoulSilver, where a card also came in two halves. Three of these Stadiums exist, and in the Japanese set they take the last six slots: 071 and 072 by danciao, 073 and 074 by nagimiso, 075 and 076 by akagi. Only the nagimiso pair has surfaced in English so far, as Legendary Summit at 096 and 097. Names circulating for the other two, Legendary Ocean Trench among them, come from fan translations published weeks before the English reveal, not from The Pokémon Company, so we do not carry them.
What is the set code for Delta Reign?
DLR. It is printed at the bottom left of every card, next to the J regulation mark and a language tag, just before the collector number. You will also see ME06 used online, including in the file names of the official card images: that is the internal sequence code, sixth set of the Mega Evolution era, and it is not what appears on the card or in a grading label.
How is Delta Reign different from Storm Emeralda?
Storm Emeralda is the Japanese set that came out on July 31, 2026. Delta Reign is not a straight translation of it. It merges Storm Emeralda with 30 cards from the three MEGA Starter Decks that launched alongside it, which makes it the first English set since Phantasmal Flames to combine several Japanese sources. Two things move in the process. The decks bring seven Pokémon ex for six slots, so one of them is dropped, and Kyogre leaves the numbered set to become the Elite Trainer Box promo under the number MEP 117.
