About this card
The same painting exists with a silver disc, and that version went to players who won a Gym Challenge in their own local shop through the spring of 2005. Gold was reserved for the winner of each age league at the Gym Final, held in seven selected stores across Japan that May. Takumi Akabane has Pikachu winking beside the medal, arms spread, the disc struck with a Poké Ball emblem and standing as tall as he does. Two coin flips decide what the card gives back: one head draws a card, two heads pull anything named out of the deck.
