Victory Cup (Battle Carnival 2011)

About this card

Only one Pokémon appears, and that is the placing talking: the Victory Cup pictures borrow a rule from the Japanese trophy cards of 2000 to 2002, where a higher finish brings more Pokémon into the scene. Victini sits in the bowl of a copper cup, arms up, under a spotlight, in a storm of confetti and streamers. The Battle Carnival 2011 logo is printed across the text box in orange foil, with the rules running over the top of it and the placing named underneath. The English printing came out ahead of this one, a first for a trophy card outside the World Championships, whose cards exist only in English.
