Slowpoke (Playmat insert 1997)

About this card

Three official playmats went on sale in May 1997, red, green and black, sold in Pokémon Centers and a small number of toy shops, and this Slowpoke came inside them. In English the card exists only as a virtual one in the Game Boy game and has never been printed on paper. Ken Sugimori lays Slowpoke out flat with its eyes half shut on a ground of orange and yellow swirls, and the line underneath admits that nobody can tell what it is thinking.
